wolink@wustl.edu | Postdoctoral Education Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention Fellow, Department of Preventive Medicine, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. 2005-2007 | Biography Dr. Kate Wolin is a behavioral epidemiologist whose research focuses on cancer prevention and control. The goal of her research is to use epidemiologic methods to inform cancer risk reduction and survivorship through physical activity promotion and obesity control. This is achieved by understanding both the role of physical activity in cancer outcomes and what factors determine opportunities to be active. Her research investigates the role of physical activity in cancer etiology and prevention, the role of physical activity in cancer control and survival, the behavioral epidemiology of physical activity among sociodemographically diverse populations, and socioeconomic and racial/ethnic disparities in cancer risk behaviors. Dr. Wolin is currently the PI of a study to investigate the effects of physical activity on symptom management in prostate cancer survivors. | Medical Education ScD, Epidemiology, Harvard School of Public Health, 2005. | Research Interest Role of physical activity and obesity in cancer etiology and control
