Foundation for Informed Medical Decisions (Elwyn-PI) 9/1/09 – 8/31/09
Examining the relationship between decision support interventions and outcome measurements by applying the IPDAS instrument to the results of the Cochrane Systematic Review of Patient Decision Aids. This study aims to examine the relationship between the IPDAS instrument scores and decision outcomes achieved in clinical trials to improve our understanding of measurement, to widen the basis of comparative scores, and to agree on minimum quality thresholds for patient decision aids.
