Clinical Interests

Currently an assistant professor of surgery, Dr. English will serve as a staff physician in the St. Louis Veterans Affairs Health Care System. He practices general vascular surgery, with a focus on aortic disease.

Research Interests

Dr. English's research laboratory investigates the pathophysiology of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) disease and its associated rupture. His lab is developing novel therapeutics, with a focus on preventing rupture and halting AAA growth. The lab is also developing noninvasive techniques for predicting AAA growth and/or rupture and providing more sophisticated modalities for AAA surveillance.
