The Washington University Bariatric Surgery Program offers a full range of surgical options to those meeting the criteria for weight loss surgery: a body mass index (BMI) indicating morbid obesity, appropriate age, attempted weight loss and other factors as determined by the surgeon. The program, offered in conjunction with Barnes-Jewish Hospital, is designated as an American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS) Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.
