Meet Dr. Hunleth 

Dr. Jean Hunleth is a medical anthropologist specializing in caregiving and the experiences of children in response to illness, medicine, and health programming. 

The Hunleth Lab investigates the social, political, and economic contexts that shape how people seek and respond to health care and medicine, across a range of diseases. Their research projects are grounded in anthropological theory and methods, focusing on critical medical, public health, and global health issues. 

Dr. Hunleth earned her doctorate from Northwestern University. She completed postdoctoral research training at WashU Medicine.
