Miller named reviewer of the year

Jacob Miller, MD, an associate professor of surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, has been named the 2025 Congenital Reviewer of the Year by the Annals of Thoracic Surgery. This prestigious honor recognizes his outstanding efforts in reviewing scholarly articles in the field of congenital cardiac surgery.

Miller specializes in pediatric and congenital cardiac surgery. His research focuses on improving surgical outcomes for children with congenital heart defects. He has contributed significantly to the understanding and treatment of complex heart conditions in infants and children. As a member of the Section of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery within the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Miller holds a crucial role at WashU Medicine, where he also mentors young surgeons and researchers in the field.
