A new faculty member joined the Department of Surgery in February 2020.
Justin M. Sacks, MD, MBA, joins the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as the new Division Chief, from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he was Vice Chair of Clinical Operations and Director of Oncological Reconstruction in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He earned his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, followed by fellowships in microsurgery research and hand and upper extremity surgery at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and a microvascular cancer reconstruction fellowship at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Sacks also earned an MBA from the Carey School of Business at Johns Hopkins University.
His specialty areas include head to toe reconstructive surgery following post-traumatic injury and oncologic surgery, as well as reconstructive surgery of the body, including the head and neck, breast, chest, abdomen, pelvis and extremities.
