Meet Dr. Khan 

Dr. Adeel Khan is a transplant surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and robotic transplantation surgery. In 2023, he performed the first robotic liver transplant in the US.

He has expertise in robotic transplantation procedures, adult and pediatric transplantations, and hepatopancreatobiliary surgery. 

Dr. Khan earned his medical degree from Aga Khan University. He completed general surgery residency training at Brown University and a hepatic, pancreatic and biliary surgery fellowship at WashU Medicine in 2011, an abdominal transplant fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center, an advanced robotic HPB surgery fellowship at Carolina’s Medical Center, and an abdominal transplant surgery fellowship, again at WashU medicine in 2017.  

Dr. Khan serves as director for the abdominal transplant fellowship at WashU Medicine.
