Meet Dr. Linnenbringer
Dr. Erin Linnenbringer is a board-certified genetic counselor and social scientist specializing in identifying strategies to expand access to cancer genetic research and clinical genetics services.
She partners with community members and clinicians to develop evidence and interventions that integrate genomic risk and social drivers of health to promote health equity. Dr. Linnenbringer also serves as Assistant Program Director and Research Training Coordinator for the Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling.
Dr. Linnenbringer earned her doctorate in health behavior and health education from the University of Michigan and her master of science in genetic counseling from Northwestern University.

Research interests
Dr. Linnenbringer’s lab studies the dynamic interplay among genetic, social, and behavioral factors that influence health. The goal of this work is to develop sustainable, community-engaged interventions that increase equity in cancer genetic service delivery across populations. She also contributes to several other NIH-funded research projects designed to optimize the return of genetic and other research findings to study participants.
