On February 17 vascular surgeon Ryan McEnaney, MD, joined the Section of Vascular Surgery as an Associate Professor of Surgery. McEnaney specializes in the surgical treatment for vascular diseases and complications. He has expertise in treating conditions such as chronic venous insufficiency, peripheral artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm and vascular trauma.
In 2007 McEnaney earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. In 2014 he completed vascular surgery residency training at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
McEnaney’s research interests include arteriogenesis, arterial occlusive disease, limb preservation and extracellular matrix remodeling. He has co-authored research in journals such as Cells, Matrix Biology Plus, The European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine.
