Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors list represents the top 7% of all U.S. practicing physicians. The list includes doctors who are peer-nominated and selected based on several criteria, including professional qualifications, education, hospital and faculty appointments, research leadership, professional reputation and disciplinary history. 

St. Louis Magazine narrows down Castle Connolly’s list to practicing doctors in the St. Louis area and features this group of physicians in their August issue every year. One out of every three Top Doctors in the St. Louis list is a Washington University Physician. Washington University surgeons who receive the Top Doctors distinction provide the highest quality of care to patients in the St. Louis area.
