Jonathan Maldonado, MD, joins the Division of Urologic Surgery as an assistant professor of surgery, effective September 1.
Maldonado specializes in surgical treatments for urologic cancers, including bladder, upper tract, kidney, prostate, testis and penile cancers, and minimally invasive treatments for enlarged prostate.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Maldonado to our busy urologic practice,” says Michael Johnson, MD, interim chief of the Division of Urologic Surgery.
Maldonado earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, CA, where he also completed urology residency training. He completed a Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
“It is a true privilege to join such an esteemed institution and department,” says Maldonado. “I am excited to contribute to the care of patients with urologic conditions, with a strong focus on the treatment of testicular and penile cancer. I am committed to advancing the field through active participation in clinical trials and translational research, aiming to improve treatment options and outcomes for our patients.”
