Dr. Michael Johnson is a urologist specializing in urologic oncology.
He has expertise in minimally invasive surgery for prostate and kidney cancer.
Dr. Johnson earned his medical degree from University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He completed urology residency training at WashU Medicine and a urologic oncology fellowship at the Brady Urological Institute of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
My goal is to apply the latest discoveries to provide the best care in the world to our community. Recent advances in minimally invasive surgery make it possible for us to offer care that gets people back to living their lives with less pain and quicker recovery times.

- Urology Care Foundation Research Scholar Grant – Integrated computational and biological identification of personalized tumor-specific neoantigens in renal cell carcinoma (7/1/2015-6/30/2016)

- This study utilizes whole-exome sequencing of renal cell carcinoma tumors to identify tumor-specific antigens. Neoantigens are then synthesized and tested for immunogenic abilities and possible use in cancer vaccines.
