Meet Dr. Wellen 

Dr. Jason Wellen is a transplant surgeon specializing in minimally invasive transplantation procedures for kidney liver and pancreas. He is the Surgical Director for the kidney and pancreas transplant programs at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and as the Surgical Director of the kidney transplant program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. 

He has expertise in treating end-stage renal disease, liver disease, and transplantation procedures. 

Dr. Wellen earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed general surgery residency training at St. Barnabas Medical Center and an abdominal transplant surgery fellowship at WashU Medicine.
