Meet Dr. Puri
Dr. Varun Puri is a thoracic surgeon specializing in lung cancer, lung transplant, esophageal cancer and procedures for benign esophageal conditions.
He has expertise in minimally invasive approaches, including robotic surgery, that often result in less pain, shorter hospital stays and quicker recovery times.
Dr. Puri earned his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi, India. He completed general surgery residency training at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at WashU Medicine.
When I see a patient for the first time, we go over their entire diagnostic workup to be sure they understand the diagnosis and their possibilities for treatment options. Together, we come up with a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to that individual.
